| For not-linear mixed models, the fixed effects do not get copied into the mer object at the end of the S_nlminb_iterate loop in mer_optimize. This leaves the fixed effect in the terminal slot at a value used in a gradient evaluation step, instead of at the last value chosen by the optimization driver. |
