Hi, My question is probably more specific to regression models, but it is simple and I would to confirm for lme4 and haven't found a similar question. I understand that the parameter estimates concern unique variance, but I'm unsure what happens to the shared variance between regressors. I assume it goes into the model fit/likelihood estimation, but I just want to confirm. Thank you, David
