Dear Graziella

You can set argument "timeEffect" qual to "TRUE" (see documentation of function sfa()).

Best regards,
Arne

Hello,
I need to estimate a cost frontier on a sample of panel data as proposed by Battese and Coelli (1992), without zeta variables (explicative of the inefficiency).
After, I need to obtain the Cost Efficiency Scores. R can report only the component u_i (time inveriant), but I need to achieve u_it = u_i * eta_it = u_i*exp(-eta*(t-T)) , where eta is a parameter to be estimated.

Is there a way to obtain from R u_it or eta?
Is there someone that can help me please?

Thank you very much,
Graziella
