Dear lme4 community, I am trying to estimate a mixed model with multiple levels for the same random effect. The data are currently stored in long form. Is it possible to use the standard model syntax for data stored in this form? A concrete example may help. Suppose a team of n individuals is responsible for producing output. I want to estimate a model with effects for each individual, but only the output of the entire team is observed. The data are stored as follows: output, uniqueTeamId, individualId 3.3, 1, 1 3.3, 1, 2 3.3, 1, 3 4.1, 2, 1 4.1, 2, 2, 4.1, 2, 4 3.2, 3, 2 3.2, 3, 3 3.2, 3, 4 etc. Thanks, Chris |
