The new version 1.0-7 is now available on R-Forge. Additions are maxent.test() which implements the permutation tests of Shipley (2010; Ecology) for maximum entropy (maxent) models. This makes it easy to now test a model generated by maxent().

Also, maxent() now accepts a matrix/data.frame to run the model on several sites/data sets in one go. The arguments names were also changed to be consistent with Shipley (2010). I hope this does not affect too much previous code written to work with maxent().
